The Coop 2011

The Coop Through the Years, uppdaterad!

Tjoget, World Cup and Hot

Tomorrow it's time for Tjoget again. I'm going to run the 17th lap on Sunday morning (?) which is 6,38 km. I'm in pretty good shape so I must run better than last year. I had problem with a contact lens and I also had to run for myself most of the race. The weather is maybe too hot but better than rain and I will run early in the morning so it will be ok.
Holland won the game against Brazil with some luck I guess. I think that Holland goes to the final and meet Germany there. I also think Germany is going to win it all. Tonight it's Uruguay against Ghana. I hope Ghana will win but I guess Uruguay's good forwards will be too hard to stop for them.
It's hot in my flat. I get sweaty if I just move a finger so now I wait for some summer rains so I can open the windows and change air.

Midsummer, World Cup and Slash

Today it's midsummer evening. It looks like it's going to be really nice weather this year so hopefully we can eat the herring and drink the shots outside.
Yesterday the World Cup ended for Italy. And in the evening Japan impressed on me with their playing skills in all parts of the team and also their big team morality. I'm happy that teams with prima donnas and players lying on the ground screaming for nothing, and also screaming at each others is out. So now I hope Japan go long in the tournament.
I'm starting to like Slash's solo album more. I think it's equal but not better than his other solo albums with Snakepit and Velvet Revolver. Let's see if it grows more on me the next two weeks because I'm going to see Slash with his solo band in Gävle!

Bad mood, Farao, Longest day and Wedding

For some reason I was in really bad mood the whole morning today and it could have ended really bad but the great lunch at Golden Farao saved me. After that something happened and now I have been happy since then. I don't know why some days I have head ache and everything feels wrong. Other days everything feels right.
Today was the longest day this year so now it only gets darker. Right now I think it's almost too light in the evenings, and you wake up too early. The most positive thing is that it doesn't feel like you wake up in the middle of the night.
The wedding between Victoria and Daniel (not me) is finally over. I'm not for monarchy but I like the way Sweden have now with succesion rules for the royalities but a democratic built government.

GN'R, Food and World Cup

Guns N' Roses is the best band ever. I have discovered several artists and bands thanks to GNR's influence and connections. Some examples is Iggy Pop, Sex Pistols and T. Rex.
Thanks to immigrants and people who have travelled across the world we can enjoy different types of food in Sweden. We can enjoy Thai, Libanese and Mexican food and also stick to our own Swedish food culture. I like to eat Swedish most of the days mixed with foreign food. In Växjö we have Egyptian, Greek and Thai food.
It's hard too see which team is going to win the World Cup in football (Soccer). I like the underdog teams. It would be fun if teams like Slovenia or Ghana go long in the tournament. My guess though is that Argentina is going to win it all. Let's see how it ends in three (or is it four?) weeks.

Axl ruled in Norje!

Apart from what Swedish press says, the GN'R show yesterday at Sweden Rock Festival was high quality. It's sad that GN'R always get negative press in Sweden. Axl is the best front man ever and he showed that yesterday. The best moment was Sweet Child O' Mine and I also liked November Rain and Better. Great performance and Axl's voice is still great!

Busy

I'm sad to say this blog hasn't been what it should be lately. The truth is that I have lot to do. I train Orienteering in the evenings (and Squash once a week) and last weekend I was away to Nässjö because my cousin graduated from high school. Well I guess it's positive after all. I want to have a lot to do in real life instead of sitting at the computer on forums and Facebook all the time. When I studied in Trollhättan I had more time with myself. Of course I didn't have enough discipline to study all the time so I sat a lot in front of the computer instead. Now I have a job and have to go there even if I don't want to every day. But I'm glad I have it because I get money for it and also get stimulated because still after almost three years there I feel I have a lot to learn. I like knowledge and one of my dreams is to win one million at the Post Code Lottery program on TV. I know it sounds silly but that would be really cool and I could go out from there with my head high.

Squash, Orienteering + After Shave/Galenskaparna

I won the Squash game today. Maybe David was stronger but I had the best mentality, I never gave up. We have played 25 times so far since october and it sure would be fun to meet another person to see how good or bad me and David play. But it's fun to play with him because we are very even.
Yesterday at the Orienteering training we ran bog intervals and I think it was only me and two others that ran all the ten intervals. So I had good mentality yesterday too. Tomorrow It's training for the relay race Tjoget. It's important to participate in these training races to get a good leg in one of the teams. Last year I ran in the second team of three. I hope I will qualify for that team this year again.
Today I got a DVD box of the first five feature films of After Shave/Galenskaparna from "Leif" from 1987 to "Monopol" from 1996. I also got their TV serie "Tornado". I really like their satire type of humour.

Phoenix Harmony

I was at Kafé Deluxe yesterday and it was a great band playing. I knew I had heard the band name "Phoenix Harmony" before and I also thought the singer's voice was similiar to someone. After the show I bought their debut album on signed and numbered vinyl (33/250). On the back of the record sleeve I saw the name of the singer, Ivan Ljungdahl and once again I knew I had heard of him before. Today I surfed the net and now I know that I have seen Ivan live before in his earlier bands Daytripper and Carpe Diem. I actually have a six-track CD with Carpe Diem that my sister bought in the 90s. The music is different now. Carpe Diem was a punk rock band with Swedish lyrics. Phoenix Harmony is some sort of catchy not-too-soft soulrock with attitude and English lyrics. Both bands are great in their own way. I recommend listening to Phoenix Harmony and also going to one of their shows. They really put on a good performance.

667, "Naturpasset", Squash and 31

The last one was post # 666 and i forgot to mention it.
Yesterday I finished Växjö OK's "naturpasset". It's permanent controls that is out in the forest during the summer. Växjö OK had 35 in Fyllerydsskogen this year. After the summer a drawing is made among the participants that have completed Naturpasset (the Nature Pass). Last year I took four Naturpass, two in Karlstad, one in Nässjö and one in Växjö but I didn't win anything. I hope I do this year.
I won this week's game in Squash against David. It's always very even games and this week I won the last set. We have played 24 times since oktober. It would be fun to meet another person one time to see if we are good or not.
I have cirka 31 kebab pizzas left until I reach my goal of eating one kebab pizza every week in 10 years. After that I can finally eat normal pizzas like Capricciosa. Last year I only ate three normal pizzas and two of them was because the restaurant didn't have kebab pizza. Of course I had to eat kebab pizza too those weeks. The third was because I was at a pizzeria and had already eaten kebab pizza that week. The last years I have been "healthy" and tried to only eat one pizza per week. This year I have eaten one normal pizza so far.

Healthy period +music +summer

Now I've had a healthy period in almost four weeks. I have not been drinking beer in the week days, I have only been eating kebab once a week and I have been training orienteering three or four times every week. I feel better and I start to get in better shape but it requires some more healthy time to make me comfortably healthy.
I have ended my subscription on Spotify so after 27th may I will have commercials again. That's because I have three new Buckethead CDs, the new Slash CD and 7 new on vinyl. So I have pretty much other music to listen to.
I don't know if I really like pre-summer. I'm a pollen allergic, I get sweaty easy and there are a lot of irritating insects flying around and causing harm. That's the downside of the summer. The other seasons have downsides too, but right now I think i like late summer/early autumn best.
